Aven was born in Taloyoak, Nunavut, in Canada's far north. Her dad built several churches and mission houses, and translated and wrote many songs during his lifetime of ministry and mission work. The gift of music was passed down and Aven takes great joy in following in her Dad's footsteps as a singer and songwriter.
