Rosalind Hershkovitz (nee Mailer) is originally from Australia, she was born into a musical family and showed precocious talent at very early age, singing before she could speak. She studied music majoring in voice and piano. She became a high school music teacher in N-S. W and Queensland. Along with learning piano she showed aptitude for all aspects of music but her great love was singing. In early adulthood she pursued a career in opera.
