Sarah Edwards is from Southfield, Michigan, Sarah is an integral part of the NightWatch team, having joined in January 2003. Her song, "Dark but Lovely," on the Forerunner album Constant, has become an IHOP–KC standard. She is married to Clay Edwards, and they have two children and a third on the way. She expresses that it has been through sharing her family's life with the NightWatch that she "discovered a sweetness in the stillness of the night, the joy of praying through the night with a community of people." "I found purpose as I partnered with the Lord in asking for revival to fill our city," she says.
