So many times I strayed away from Jesus
As a lamb that leaves the flock without a care

Now I tried to climb the mountains of this life and failed
I was thinking of myself and my own gain
That's when the Shepherd came and He found me on the cliffs of sin
From that moment life has never been the same

I'm the lamb that the Shepherd left the flock for

Now I'm back where I belong and I'm so happy
I can hear my Shepherd's voice all the time
I'm gonna follow in the path where He may lead me
For this Shepherd, Jesus, is a friend of mine
