In 2012 Derek played over 100 shows, released a full length album and an EP, and won a Canadian Gospel Music Award. He also enjoyed the small things in life; playing frisbee in the park, eating cereal every morning and night, and living life to the full with others around him. As a solo artist since highschool he has traveled North America opening for various acts and has been a feature artist at major events; such as Breakforth Canada.
