Geraldine was born in Crewe, Cheshire to West Indian parents, George and Loleta Latty. Steeped in the Pentecostal tradition, Geraldine has also spent a number of years being a part of the Methodist church. She completed her music degree and qualified as a secondary school teacher, working for twelve years at a Catholic School in Bristol.
