Throughout the years, Mali Music has emerged as an underground favorite for his arresting mash-up of contemporary R&B and inspirational story-telling. He made national television waves at the 2011 BET Awards with a rousing performance on the Music Matters stage and returned this year as a featured performer on the network's first ever BET Experience Music Matter Stage during the BET Awards weekend. Additionally, Mali Music was tapped to perform at this year's Essence Music Festival in New Orleans.
