Album: I Know You Are but What Am I?
Parody of "Vasoline" by Stone Temple Pilots
(1 Corinthians 2:9; Matthew 6:25-33, 7:7-11; John 14:1-6; 2 Corinthians 5:1-5)
One night something occurred to me:
God's real, but we're so fake
Who lives inside those stately homes?
Visit you, visit me
Search on Facebook - you can see
Other side always seems
Somewhere where the grass is green
Truth lies within that fantasy
But God's Word will not fail
He died to make us all a home
Why is the grass so greener on
Somebody's other side?
We think that stuff here all the time
Is it true? Could it be?
There's a place that you can't see
Gotta find how to reach
Somewhere where the grass so green
You read the Book and believe in Christ
You'll see the light - yes, you will
LEAD
Christ says the grass is greener on
God's side for those that find
Seek it and trust Him all the time
In Matthew 6:33
(And) First Corinthians, you can see
Verse 2:9 -- how we'll be
When we're with the Nazarene
Uh uh
Uh uh
1 Corinthians 2:9
but just as it is written, "Things which eye has not seen and ear has not
heard, And which have not entered the heart of man, All that God has prepared
for those who love Him."
