Album: Doulos
Verse 1
Can you feel the tide now rising, the corruption and the lying;
As freedom slips like sand beneath your feet?
Can there be patriotism alongside atheism?
Can stars and stripes and faith refuse to meet?
Well don't let fear and rage infect your spirit.
Don't play into the hands of godless men.
The foundation of our nation still remains as it has been,
And the truth is still the truth in spite of them.
Chorus
There's only one… nation under God;
One… nation who will call Him their Lord.
One… nation under God;
It's a nation without walls, a nation without borders.
One… nation under God;
Only one…nation who calls Jesus their King.
One… nation under God;
Those who give their lives to Jesus know redemption is what frees us.
We are one… nation under God.
Verse 2
In danger we're united, but in safety we're divided;
Our fickle hearts betray the One who saves.
We ask for God to bless us, then we scorn the name of Jesus,
And reject the gift of life He cam and gave.
Well don't be swept away by this confusion;
Though this land we love is now our earthly home,
We are citizens of heaven and the Kingdom of our Lord,
And our allegiance is to Him and Him alone.
Bridge
So what are we to do with this confusion?
With hearts aflame confess our Nation's sin,
And bow our knees in humble intercession
For only God can change the hearts of men.
