We were incensed, we were outraged
We wondered what the world had become
The terror real, the fear intense
It ripped our nation in two
Once again we came together
In unity we stood as one
If only the feeling we shared
Lasted for a lifetime

It seems that these last 10 years have been nothing but bad news
It feels like each time I awake there's another tragedy
It might be an earthquake or a bomb, it's always something
I just feel like I want to hear something good for once

Celebrating boxing day
We watched the news in horror
Tidal wave, like none before
Tore our world apart

How could a loving God do this
Wreak untold devastation
