Album: When I See the Cross
To me it meant nothing
Just a gathering of Jews on a hillside
A typical day on Golgotha
Where many had died
Three crosses, three criminals
Three outcasts brought no shame to mine
Until I discovered
That cross in the middle was mine
So, when I see the cross
Now I see Heaven reaching down
To undeserving men like me
Who will believe
When I see my Savior hanging there
I see a friend beyond compare
I see my sin, and what it cost
When I see the cross
Now I've devoted my life
Just to live for His glory
To wake up each morning
And thank Him for what He has done
I feel so responsible
For causing His death to take place
So, I'm gonna serve Him with gladness
For the rest of my days
'Cause, when I see the cross
Now I see Heaven reaching down
To undeserving men like me
Who will believe
When I see my Savior hanging there
I see a friend beyond compare
I see my sin, and what it cost
When I see the cross
I see my sin, and what it cost
When I see the cross
