Moving in my direction, as the black clouds form.
IIs an eeriness that travels, moving closer is the storm.
I take cover from its wrath, cringe as booming thunder roars.
Lightning streaks across the sky, ripping clouds open, it pours.

Exhausted from my prayer, at the lowest point I feel,
A light from heaven sent, a gift given to heal.

One Ray, One Ray of sunshine breaks the darkened sky.
Lifting up my senses, answering questions why.
One Ray, One Ray of sunshine brightens up the night.
It pierces me with joy, my hope rides on its light.

My body shakes and trembles, as the cold wind finds its mark.
Drenched from the rain that seems to laugh at all the light
Drowned out by dark.
A fear begins to capture my every second's thought.
It seems like hop is gone, when the battle has been fought.

Every time the storm approaches I cower in my fear.
Then I remember what can happen from a sunshine ray that's near.
Even through a ton of thunder or a hurricane or two.
I don't need a heap of sunshine, just one ray of light will do.
