The life that i was living was wrong
Therefore none of my actions are condoned
Henocey and gin had me faded and gone
Was running through these streets
Trying to find my way home
Searching for a purpose and meaning in life
In and out of situationships
A thousand time with tears in my eyes
Trying to justify why i was destroying my life
I went back to the basics
Returning to the cross i had to face it
Cause of the mercy i was willing to embrace it
But the shadows of my past
Wouldn’t allow me to make it
I was suffocating, gasping searching for breath
Because the path i was leading was headed straight to death
Trying to heal my own sin In desperate need of help
His pure hands lifted me up with strength left
To him the honor, the glory, the praise
He saw my purpose through my wicked ways
Even when i was a sinner he gave his life away
An unconditional love that i can never repay
But can stand today and boldly say
He is definitely life, truth and the way
My sins are washed away my slates clean
Through his precious blood i’ve been redeemed
