And all the time it's come and gone since
It's incredible to think
How little has really changed for the good
As a human race
We don't seem to be evolving
Into higher claims of consciousness
Or fulfilling the promise of a new age
No, our planet is convulsed
With spasms of cruelty and hatred
And now more than ever
The world needs Jesus

It's a sorry sight
For the eyes of My Lord
To see young people
Taken by the world
And it hurts me to see
So much that's going wrong
Yet I know in myself
I don't change many things at all
